Capacity Building

This component is to help ensure that students in a Collaborative Inquiry course will have the skills, competencies, and support needed in order to be an effective group or team member. This can be achieved through a combination of design (e.g., activities and deliverables to assist them through the initial stages of group development) and instruction in interpersonal skills (e.g., delegation and conflict management) that members of groups and teams need to work effectively.

Recognizing that faculty will want and/or need assistance in developing this part of the Collaborative Inquiry course, the UUCC working with the Reinert Center for Transformative Teaching and Learning will provide workshops in capacity building.
