Birthdays
Birthdays are important celebrations in the life of every child.
Home groups celebrate birthdays in different ways, including singing in English or Italian, and engaging in special rituals.
Treats
It is a tradition for many families to send treats with the birthday child to school. To keep everyone safe, there are a few rules in place for these food treats:
Treats must be individually packaged
There should be enough for every child in the home group
Treats should contain minimal allergens
Treats should be small
Some ideas for food treats are:
Small packets of chips
Fun size chocolates
Packaged lollies (no lolly bags created at home)
Lollipops
Invitations
Your child is welcome to distribute invitations to birthday parties at school, however this should be done before learning time begins.
Home groups teachers should not give invitations out for learners, nor are they able to follow up any invitation responses.
