Getting to and from school

Supervision times

Children should not arrive at school before 8:30am when teachers begin morning duty under the Play Plaza. If children arrive before 8:30am, they may be sent to Before School Care where they can be supervised. There will be a cost incurred for this from Camp Australia.

Children should be picked up by 3:20pm in the afternoon.

Options for getting to and from school

Parking

You can park in front of the church or in the spots along the front fence, however parking is limited.

The Staff Car Park is for staff use only.

If you park (ie, use any parking spot, even next to a footpath) you must get out of your car and accompany your child to/from the closest Play Plaza gate. Under no circumstances should children be going to a parked car on their own. This ensures their safety.

At all times when leaving the large carpark (in front of the church), you must use the middle driveway. Do not leave the large carpark using the driveway closest to the school.

The school has a 10km/h speed limit. This ensures you have time to react to unexpected events and to keep all of our children safe.

Walking and riding

It is highly recommended that learners walk or ride to school. Not only is it great for their health, but is a far quicker way to get to and from school.

You could meet your child down the street!

Ensure you remain on a footpath the entire time. Refrain from walking through the carpark. This ensures your safety and your child's safety.

Refrain from parking in the service road. If you decide to cross an external driveway, you are making the decision to put you and your child in danger.

Drop off (morning only)

There is an area that operates as a ‘drop off’ area in the mornings. Drivers are not permitted to leave their car in this area between 8:00am and 9:00am.

You must follow the drop off line at all times, even if there are no cars present. Crossing through the large carpark puts other people in danger.

Children must be dropped off in the drop off zone only.

The school has a 10km/h speed limit. This ensures you have time to react to unexpected events and to keep all of our children safe.
