What I did
I added more pages of my book because I thought that there should be more information in the book. Since the story originally only focused on what the hat could be, it didn't have much explanation in the beginning and the end. I decided to start the story as receiving a gift and going through the process of finding out what it is and where it is used for. As I created more stories for the book, I planned other materials that should be used to my newly added pages. I have also started translating the writing into braille. For the writings that are sure to be written in my book, I made braille stickers. While I was finding out the writings and the braille stickers, I found out that my paper is too small for adding all the letters and the sticker, so after talking with my mentor, I decided to make the paper bigger. So I ordered new paper and started planning for it. I have also decided to bind the paper together so my story book would look more like a professional book.
What I learned
I learned that when you write with braille, it is mostly in the middle of the page. If it is not, then I have to be consistent with where I put my braille stickers so that the readers don't get confused. I also found out that when writing braille in Korean, although it is the same letter, it is written differently in braille when it is used as a basic consonant or a final consonant. Braille also had shorten words that could be represented in one word. For example, the transitions such as and, but, also can be represented as one word. Another thing I learned is that when I start making a book, I should try making a page before I decide and start creating the book. Even though I plan my writings and pictures, it doesn't come out the way I want, so I should try making at least one page to plan the whole book.
What I need to do next
I have finished planning for the book. Since I have found my mistakes in the planning I have done, I measured the correct size for each page and ordered another sheet of paper. Now I need to add all my materials again to the book. Before I have my newly ordered paper, I will finish cutting the hats and the braille that is needed to be added to the paper. If my paper arrives in time, I will add the textures to the book as I planned and start my writing on the actual paper. I will be binding the book, so I will have to leave about 2cm of space from the right so my book can be bound successfully.
