What I did
I worked on finding the handwriting that best fits my whole story. I worked with three different types of pens and three different colors. The one I found most matching was the pen with a broad chisel tip. It made the writings stand out more and is easier to read. The next thing I did was to find out how to use the braille writing machine. It was a completely new thing to me so I had to go over the videos that were provided by the company of the machine. The machine I bought is called "Bollogi" and it helps write braille on a sticker. Later, I will add this sticker to my book so children who are visually impaired will be able to read the book as well.
What I learned
I learned that different pens give different moods of the book and different colors may change the style of the book. I only thought of pens with broad chisel tips to be highlighters, but when I use it for writing, it made thick and sharp lines. Since the pen makes thick lines, the words become unique and effectively makes the writing part of the book. Also using colors that is not black made the words look like drawings and it helps some words stand out. Where the words need emphasis I started to use different color pens. It was my first time seeing a "Bollogi", so I watched videos to find out how to use it and it was interesting to see that there are shortened braille for certain words.
What I need to do next
I need to start using "Bollogi" to write some of my story. Then, I need to figure out how to write in braille properly. I also need to make more of the pages of my book. I have all the materials and now I have to add them together. After I am done with adding all the textures and drawings, I will add the writings. If I am completely done with all the textures and the drawings, I have to cover it with the laminating paper so that it will all be clean and covered.
