Emergency Assembly and Evacuation Areas of ZCMC (as of August 20, 2016)
Choice of EAEA:
relatively open space not near tall buildings, tall trees, tall solid structures or any structure that may fall on the area.
Recommendations for Refinements:
First, let's agree on the terminology - Emergency Assembly and Evacuation Areas (EAEA) or other terms the Committee decide on. Second, how big are the areas of EAEA (each) in terms of sq meters? Third, how many can be accommodated in each EAEA? Fourth, if all EAEAs are operational and there is need to triage patients, can we designate EAEA A as RED AREA (topmost priority for patient management); EAEA B as YELLOW AREA (2nd most priority for patient management); and EAEA C as GREEN AREA (lowest priority for patient management)? Fifth, if all EAEAs are operational, if an INCIDENT COMMAND CENTER will be set up in one of the 3 EAEAs, it will be in EAEA A. Sixth, which is better? EAEA A, EAEA B, EAEA, C or EAEA 1, EAEA 2, and EAEA 3? Seventh, there will be a structured system of management of each EAEA (like a mini-incident command).
