ZCMC Earthquake and Fire Business Continuity Drill - November 21, 2016; 0930H to 1200H; Zamboanga City Medical Center
We will test the formulated ZCMC Earthquake Business Continuity Response Program.
We know we have not completed the Response Program. Let's look at the "drill" and create a worst scenario and work backward - meaning let's formulate what are the things we need to prepare to respond to this worst scenario and what are the things we need to prepare for the drill. I believe this will fast track what we started.
Scenario: Earthquake Intensity 8 with more than 60% destruction of buildings and with fires in several buildings. Morning weekday. 0930H. (We will not include Tsunami yet in this year's drill.)
Objectives:
To test the ZCMC Earthquake Business Continuity Response Plan.
To train at least 50% of the staff on procedures on:
Personal safety during earthquake and fire.
Protection of patients and guests during earthquake and fire.
Indications for evacuation.
Incident Command System and Operations Center.
Management of Emergency Assembly and Evacuation Areas.
Search and rescue.
Fire control.
Resumption of critical services.
IT-enabled resumption of crtical services.
Staff recall
Deactivation.
Intended Learners:
Senior leaders
Middle managers
Rank and file
Specify the names and competencies acquired (as certificates will be given as to nature of participation).
Half-day (9 to 12) inclusive of preliminary preparations (30 minutes) and post-drill evaluation conference.
Choose a date for the drill.
Siren will signal earthquake at 930 am.
Scenario: Earthquake Intensity 8 at 930 am.
