General

Schedule duration

Input the period which the schedule encompasses. Both dates are mandatory, the second date must be at least one day after the first. The comment field serves no computational

purpose, and is there for your convenience. Without the start and end dates, you will not be able to save the schedule.

Previous schedule

Taking into account the schedule for the previous/transitional period.

If you have a schedule in the active or archives, of which, the one you are about to create is the continuation, (It is normally so, unless you are using WoShi for the first time) than you may select the predecessor for your new schedule (as shown in the image below). This enables WoShi to refer back to the previous period as it assembles the schedule. This way, the schedule will be balanced not only internally, but also with the schedule that covered the preceding period. For instance, if you are making a schedule for the month of April, you will enter the schedule for the month of March in this section, and if a certain employee happened to work a lot of night shifts in March, WoShi will make sure that the same employee gets assigned more daylight shifts in the coming month of April.

Input fields:

  • Limit the search schedules - Narrow your search to the desired time span.

  • From the dropdown menu, Select the specific schedule that you were using for the previous period.

  • Specify how many days backwards, to use as a reference. You may include the entire period, but be aware that, the more days you include, the more time it will take for WoShi to find a satisfactory solution. Normally, 10 days will be more than enough.

In the above example, the schedule spans the first of June, through to the 30th of June.

Example:

  • The schedule will be valid from 1.7. to 31.07.2016

    • The last 10 days off the previous schedule (the one that covered the month of May), will be taken into account in the process of assembling the new schedule.

    • The shortest time period that WoShi will be using, will be 30 minutes.

    • Ignore skill substitution is not activated

The longer the minimal time period (in minutes), the faster Woshi will be able to calculate your schedule.

The "previous script selector"

Click on the drop-down menu and type any search cue you want out of the ones displayed in the field. For instance: Type in "06", and only schedules which include the month of June will be displayed.
