Continuous assessment

Regarding the ASSESSMENT of this course, you will have these two options:

A. Final exam in June / September 2019

Every student inscribed in the C1.1 course will have the right to sit this exam, no matter if you attended lessons or not, passed or failed the progress tests or you handed in the assignments or not. If you pass each of the four skills in this exam (Reading, Listening, Writing and Speaking) you will have passed the C1.1 course and you'll be ready to go on to the C1.2 course next year.

B. Continuous assessment

However, there's another path that you can follow, that of continuous assessment (evaluación continua) which can eventually spare you sitting the exam in June /September 2019. This system will take into account the following:

1. Attendance: you'll need to attend at least 70% of the lessons for the whole year (starting from Wednesday 24th/Thursday 25th October)

2. Tests:You'll have 1 or 2 tests every term, comprising the four skills (Reading, Listening, Writing and Speaking). During the whole year you'll have to pass at least 80% of these tests.

3. Assignments (homework): you'll have to hand in at least 90% of the tasks assigned during the whole year (compositions, recorded monologues, dialogues, etc.). You don't necessarily have to pass them all, but of course, I strongly recommend that you do your best in each of them.

If for some reason you fail to comply with any of the 3 requirements above, you will still have the opportunity to sit the final exam in June and/or September.
