Between 1988 and 1997 I worked full-time, and often more, as a pharmacist. During this period the major pharmacy chains I was working for were under rapid management change, consolidation, and purchasing many smaller pharmacies. I was often called upon to work in other systems (typewriters to mainframes) that were not yet absorbed into the chains in which I was working. In Utah, in particular, I worked in a wide range of locations, as K-Mart purchased Payless, and Payless purchased Skaggs as well as many independents. In Florida I initially worked for K-Mart as a transfer from Payless but then changed to Eckerds when the Payless-K-Mart corporate deal changed. I worked full-time for Eckerds. Eckerds did not want to have over-time, so allowed me to work additional relief time for several smaller independent pharmacies including Wises Drugs in Gainesville, and the Gainesville Medical Center Pharmacy. Because the additional work was sporadic I have not kept records of the time periods.
