Beatrice was born on January 24, 1891. Her father was Ignasio duBlan y Montesinos born in Mexico and her mother was Jane Marie Manning, born in Fair Haven, Vermont. They had 3 children, Beatrice, Ignasio and Carmen.
A review of her books and letters in the apartment where she lived with her husband, Adolph William Beecher and her son, William Ward Beecher at 1039 Ocean Ave. in Brooklyn, tells the story of a self-educated, civic minded woman. She campaigned for women's suffrage.
