Once you have become familiar with the basic features of the SMART Board and SMART Notebook, an incredible resource for further ideas is SMART Exchange. On the SMART Exchange website, teachers upload their lesson plans, pre-made activities, templates, and other SMART resources to the website, and other teachers can visit, get ideas, and even download the file itself to use in the classroom. The amount of info available is amazing!
Personally, I used the SMART Exchange recently when I wanted to create my own Jeopardy game to use with my students to review for a quiz. I went to SMART Exchange and found a template for a Jeopardy game, which another teacher had created and made available to others. Since it was a template and not a pre-made game, the categories and questions were all blank, allowing me to input my own wording without having to delete someone's previous work. Here are some images from one of the Jeopardy-like templates available on SMART Exchange (there are several!)
If you are thinking of doing an activity but think it may have been done before, check out the SMART Exchange website first! Why reinvent the wheel??
