What is CAFE?
CAFE is an acronym for "Comprehension, Accuracy, Fluency, and Expanding Vocabulary." This program, published by the 2Sisters: Gail Boushey and Joan Mosers, enables even the youngest of readers to self-monitor their reading progress and track future goals. Typically, this program is used in tandem with the Daily 5, and serves as the basis for a 10-15 minute lesson that kicks off Reader's Workshop.
