Hi! I’ve been asked to send out the detail of materials to be used for our bathroom update. We would replace the tile floor, tile the shower including the ceiling adding a shampoo niche, add brushed nickel hardware to shower, sink and towel bars. There would be a new toilet and frameless glass shower door. We would replace the medicine cabinet with a similar one and put a narrow storage cart where the wooden glass topped side table is now.
This update is neutral in color and classic in design. It will be simple, clean and easy on the eyes for many years to come.
SHOWER
Remove existing tile, walls, towel rack and floor.Repair wall including application of new shower grade wallboard and floor pan.Tile floor, walls and ceiling using ceramic tile and epoxy grout and leaving wood window as is with new screen and new latch. No towel rack will be reinstalled.
Create 16” wide x 13” tall niche on wall opposite window with one glass shelf 1/3 down from top, cut tile for picture frame or use Schuter strip in chrome
Install a frameless glass door kit adjusting opening to fit a standard 34” X 72” leaving top open several inches
Install showerhead and trim kit, changing from existing two handle to one handle
MAIN FLOOR
Remove existing tile, re-tile with ceramic tile using 4” baseboard on the walls, epoxy grout in slightly darker color than tile
INSTALL
New toilet, wall medicine cabinet, towel bars, toilet paper holder, sink faucet
