As you know, the Furniture Committee spent a great deal of time selecting new furniture.
Septic Project
After substantial back-and-forth with the county because our house and some of the septic design sits within a restricted area of the waterline, the septic plans were approved in November 2022. You can see the finalized plans here: San Juan County Public Portal (smartgovcommunity.com).
Unfortunately, the first bid we got for implementing the design was about $60k. I've asked three other contractors for bids. As of mid-December, nothing in response. We are also waiting for a septic inspection.
Assorted other projects
Steve selected new tires for the pickup truck and Dolly arranged to have them installed.
The washing machine failed, and a new Maytag was purchased and installed.
The house got decent use this summer. Here are the dates I have logged.
April 24-May 5th: Lorol
July 15-19/20: Dawn's son
July 23 - Aug 4: Steve, Ben and Annie.
August 7-15: David & Kris
August 16-20th: Cheryl
As you know, requests need to be in by April 1st for a maximum of two weeks during prime time with flexibility to extend at the last minute if available.
