WCAG submission to the Productivity Commission Inquiry into TUSO

In the interests of exposing the poor internet connectivity in our region and the continued lack of responsibility shown by NBN (by putting us onto a Satellite service), WCAG provided the attached submission to the Productivity Commission's Telecommunications Universal Service Obligation Inquiry.

This covers

• • The current lack of adequate broadband in areas such as ours;

  • The increasing digital divide between metropolitan and urban fringe populations;

  • Recommendations for minimum guaranteed communications services; and

  • Recommendations to ensure continued pressure on ADSLx service providers to keep existing services up and running (and maintained) in the interim period until we can be guaranteed a better broadband solution.
