At last! The Wamboin Communications Action Group is pleased to announce that they are currently in negotiations to provide a community-driven fibre-to-the-premise rollout to the Wamboin, Bywong and Sutton areas.
Planning is in the early stages and to allow it to proceed we need to get a better idea of where everyone who would like to be connected is. If you haven't already done so, please go to complete our survey (see links on front page), especially the address part. This allows us to build up a map of all those properties that wish to connect so that we can work out where the fibre will run.
If you don't get on board at the start then it may be impossible or prohibitively expensive to join later. The expected connection and monthly charges will be comparable with current ADSL/NBN and wireless services, but there will be NO download limit and speeds up to 500Mb/s!
Fast internet is already becoming a requirement for selling your house, NBN Satellite just doen't pass muster!
