Proposed Fibre Broadband Network
Wamboin, Bywong and Sutton Region

As those that have been with us for a while know, WCAG has been working over the last year to identify options to deliver a better broadband network for our community. Our efforts here picked up pace once it became clear that, notwithstanding our proximity to Canberra, we were being relegated to the poorest NBN option - the Satellite based SkyMuster service.
A few month ago we commenced discussions with a commercial party to investigate the potential of building a local Fibre based network - with Fibre connection to the Internet delivered right to your home or business! Significant progress has now been made and we would like to share with local residents the detail - including timing, speeds, data allowances and costs. With your support the answers you'll hear to these are: 2018, very fast, lots and comparable... in that order.
At the meeting you'll get to hear from members of the Action Group with a detailed presentation on the proposed network being delivered by our possible network builder and operator and followed by a Q&A session.
