What are your goals on Fiverr? Do you want to be in the top 10% and make good money, or be in the 1% that's crushing it? Or are you going to do what 89% of Fiverr sellers do: create a gig and wait for a miracle to happen? If you want to be successful on Fiverr, you need to take it seriously and put thought into every minor detail. Help solve buyers' problems and live your freelancer dream. I've been a member of Fiverr for over a decade, and in this article, I will share my tips on creating a Fiverr gig.
If you are new to Fiverr and have never created a gig before, let me explain how it works. The process is really easy and straightforward. To create a gig on Fiverr, simply log in to your account and click on the “Sell” tab at the top of the page. Then, click on the “Create a Gig” button. There you will have to fill out all the information about your gig.
Remember to include a title that is both precise and easy to understand, as well as a description of what you are offering that is thorough. The title should be memorable and attention-grabbing, while also reinforcing your service excellence to give you a competitive edge. Make it specific because when people are searching for services on Fiverr, they are looking for something very specific. If your title can pinpoint what it is you do, you are more likely to grab their attention. When it comes to creating a title for your gig, there are no rules. You can be as creative as you want and put your own spin on things. That's what will set you apart from the competition. Think outside the box.
Use keywords wisely. They are important for helping people find your gig but don’t overdo it. You want to sound natural, not like you are trying too hard.
When buyers are looking for a Fiverr gig, they want to know what they can expect. In order to ensure that you are providing the best possible service, try to focus on what the buyer is trying to achieve. For example, If you are selling SEO services, let buyers know that they will rank faster with your help.
Creating a great thumbnail for your gig can make all the difference in whether or not potential buyers decide to click on your profile. The thumbnail is the first thing people see when they are browsing through Fiverr, so it’s important to make sure it catches their eye and accurately represents what you offer. There are a few things to keep in mind when creating your thumbnail. First, choose an image that is representative of what you do. You may want to browse the Fiverr competition or YouTube for examples of good thumbnails. Second, try different images on your computer to see which one looks better.
Adding a video to your Fiverr gig is also a good idea. This will give potential clients a better idea of what you are capable of as a seller and show them that you are a professional. Make sure that the quality of your video is good though. You want buyers to take you seriously. Also, include some samples of your previous work there.
You can also add pictures to your gig's description. The image size for a Fiverr gig is typically 1280x769 pixels. This size ensures that your image will be clear and visible when potential buyers are browsing through the Fiverr marketplace. If you have a high-quality image that is the right size, it can help you stand out from the competition and attract more buyers. You should create a front cover for your Fiverr gig that will represent your business and grab attention and show potential clients what they can expect if they choose to work with you. It's a good idea to use keywords in the file names of your images to help improve your ranking in search engines.
Select Category and Subcategory for your gig. This will help buyers find your gigs easily. There are lots of categories to choose from so make sure you choose the one that your services fit into the best (i.e. graphic & design, online marketing, etc.).
It's important to put the "right" price tag on your gigs. I have written a whole article on how to price your Fiverr gigs that you can check out HERE. Select a pricing option and enter the details of what you are offering. You could charge your regular price, but I suggest pricing your gig at least 10% lower than your competition. This will encourage people to order from you. You can also offer another 10% off as a promotion for the first 5-10 buyers, stating that the price will increase afterward.
Fiverr recommends you start with just a basic gig. You can always add upsells later if you want to offer more services. Each gig has a one-day delivery unless you choose to include the Extra Fast Delivery option in your gig package for an additional fee.
Once you are done, simply hit the "Publish Gig" button and your gig will go live! Congrats - this is usually the easiest step, and it won't take long.
However, if you want your gigs to actually make money, you'll need to do more than just create a listing and wait for orders to come in. Otherwise, it will likely end up in the "never seen by anyone" category forever.
