Google has created many powerful applications to improve the human experience on a single webpage, from Google Maps to Google Drive. In December 2016, Google introduced their newest service: Google Feeds. Initially only for android, it has evolved into a mobile app for ios.
Google Feeds is used to personalize information and advertising based on each individuals person's interests. It is primarily based on search history, but it can be personalized by the user. For example, if Google finds you are researching movie times, it will start to recommend related movies and times on your feed. If you don't want Google to suggest movies anymore, you can remove it.
Feeds can be published by all sorts of news websites, blogs, and businesses. Google Feeds is very useful for these sources as a modern way to spread news and advertising. Google also uses location to suggest local feeds such as restaurants, pharmacies, or stores. Google Feeds allows these businesses to reach potential consumers without having to compete as much with the vast amount of information on the web. Consumers can get the information that interests them, with local stories and advertising for whats around them. In essence, Google feeds is an information hub tailored towards the user.
