Congratulations! You've now been declared fit to become an officer, this in-and-of-itself is a huge accomplishment! Very few United States Citizens will share this privilege.
Celebrate this honor, but be very aware, with your new found rank comes responsibility. You are now a leader, and like any good leader, you must realize that you have a lot to learn.
Although reading this section will not make you a competent soldier, it will give you the tools you need to at least look like you know what you are doing. It will also help you to complete the key tasks necessary to fully integrate into the Army.
After, reviewing and completing the tasks in this section, move on to the sub-page entitled "Becoming a Competent Soldier." Although, I am still a rookie myself, I have tried to pull together advice from those with experience. Hopefully you find it beneficial.
This drop down menu will cover the following issues: Setting up health insurance (Tri Care), Getting your CAC Card, purchasing a uniform, checking and understanding your My Pay account, setting up your thrift savings account, Setting Up an AKO account and accessing the Unit webpage, etc.
I hope to have the sub pages up by Jan 1.
