Seed Swap, April 1 @7pm, Lincroft

Post date: Mar 29, 2014 6:43:34 PM

Seed Swap, Tuesday April 1st, 7pm at the Unitarian Universalist, 1475 West Front Street, Lincroft.

Do you have extra seeds that you've saved or leftovers from previous years that you'd like to trade or give away. Even if you don't, you are welcome to come and meet local seed savers. We have extra seeds to give away to anyone interested in growing & saving their own seeds. When you grow and save your own seeds, you get to select the traits you want, the plants become better adapted to your local environment and you're preserving genetic diversity.

Please label your seeds with name, variety and year it was saved. Folks may also be interested in knowing how to sow, grow, and save the seeds, and if they are heirlooms, where they were grown.

Wendy Weiner, who is hosting this event, will have small envelopes to share for distributing seed. This swap is free and open to the public so please forward to anyone who might be interested.
