Transition Monmouth invites everyone to its 6th Summer Reskilling Workshop.

What: A Wild Edibles and Medicine Walk with Dan Farella, of Return to Nature.

Where: Eatontown's Farmers Market, Wampum Park, Route 35 and West Street

When: Sunday, Sept 8th. Walks will start at the gazebo at Noon and again at 2pm.

Join Dan for an insightful walk around the land to demystify the "wall of green" surrounding us. He will teach you to identify many plants revered in the herbal traditions for healing ailments, as well as how to forage for nutritious wild food directly from the land. We will focus on methods to use and prepare them andgain the skills and confidence necessary to utilize the countless organic, fresh, local and free plant resources Nature continually provides.

Dan Farella is a Forager, Herbalist, and Musician dedicated to working with Nature to further the healing of the planet and the soul. Dan teaches through Return to Nature (http://returntonature.us/), which provides classes in foraging, making medicinal products from wild herbs, fire making, and survival in the wild. He also makes and sells wild herbal products, teaches music, yoga, chanting, and meditation.

Added bonus, Dorothy Sikora, of the Joy of Music, will lead a kids' music activity from 2-3, under the gazebo.Transition info table will be set up from 11am to 3pm.

Event is free but donations will be accepted.

There are regular bathrooms, water, food&beverage vendors & plenty of free parking nearby.
