Bill Englert is the New Man in Charge

Head Coach Bill Englert begins his tenure as head coach of Thomas Jefferson coming over from Peters Township with an impressive resume as a coach and player, and had a senior oriented team waiting for him.  The team battled hard while learning a new system that has previously been unchanged for twenty years.

The season started out with a murders row of opponents that have been title contenders for the past few years, and began the season at 0-4-1, tying Steel Valley.  However, this did not deter their efforts as they won the next two contests with tough defense behind Erik Holzworth and the hard running of Brian Haberstock.

The offense put up impressive numbers behind returning quarterback Jeff Hannon, as he threw for over 800 yards and the  running of Brian Haberstock who ran for nearly 900 yards.  The offense averaged 11 points per game.  The season ended with three hard fought losses, and the first season of Bill Englert ended with a 2-7-1 record with wins over Ringgold and West Mifflin.
