Day 211 (cont)

While planning their next move in the Green Dome, DLR shut down and then reversed power to the ventilation system. The group had a limited amount of time before all the air would be sucked out of the dome. The group pressed on.

On their way to face DLR directly, Daz had a satori and realized that the three command crystals they recovered might give them access to the control tower in the center of the city. They assaulted the control center and defeated the guards. Inside they discovered they could manipulate illusory panels to gain access to the system. While Qo, Daz and Azia worked on the inside, Amber and Quintzal stalled the guards on the outside.

The first of the control systems they gained control of was the regeneration system. This created a large burst of healing for them and caused all hostile creatures to vaporize in a wave of necrotic energy. The second subsystem was the recall order which caused all sahuagin guards to return to their stations and await further orders meaning that not new reinforcements would show for a time. The next system was the psychic pulse which soothed their minds and gave them resistance toward future mental invasion. Finally, they accessed the emergency shutdown system which caused the entire city to go dark.

A few moments after shutting down the system, the system began to reinitialize. The group didn't have much time to capitalize on their advantage so they assaulted DLR directly. Feeling secure in his glass bubble, DLR was actively trying to reboot the system, but, the group assaulted the bubble and destroyed it. DLR, no longer protected by his bubble or his minions retreated to the portal of elemental water, but, was stopped by Panzurial, the Kraken Child of the Exile. Apparently, Panzuriel and DLR are brothers. With the aid of Panzurial, DLR fought the group in physical combat. For just a moment he was able to regain control of Qo's mind, but, in a painful panic he started making mistakes and was eventually felled, dispersing into a cloud of mucus and vanishing from the prime material plane. With the defeat of his brother, Panzuriel retreated and the day was won.

With the defeat of DLR, Qo was finally able to realize that most of DLR's taunts were just lies meant to cloud her mind and sow distrust among the group.

Day 215

The group made their way back to Jaubala. Along the way they discovered that their cloaks had been cursed so they could not keep them. When they returned, Qo immediately approached the Isho Doll who had surrounded himself with innocent bystanders. Qo managed to get the creature alone and with the aid of the others was able to destroy it before it managed to get away or harm anyone else.

Meanwhile, Quintzhal discovered a forger that was eating into her businesses profits. She employed George, her Yeth Hound guard, to hunt and chase down the forgers and discovered a larger forgery ring. It was apparently run by someone called Mr. Jeremy, who was expecting Quint'zhal to find him and left before she arrived. The identity and true intentions of this Mr. Jeremy are still unknown.

There is still more to come as the group unwinds and prepares for their next adventure...
