Chuck Sutherland is the Fire Prevention Geospatial Analyst at the Tennessee State Fire Marshal’s Office. He manages databases, conducts data analysis, and creates and maintains a number of data driven products. He also oversees grant processes that aid volunteer fire departments and rescue squads.
Chuck also works part time as an adjunct professor at Tennessee Tech University, where he teaches Theory of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) I and II.
When he’s not using GIS for professional reasons, he’s using GIS to find caves, waterfalls, and natural arches.
