Greg Rogers is a Regional Director for the National Fire Protection Association having previously worked as both a Regional Representative and Strategic Business Manager for IROL. He started his career as an instructor in 1992 at the Oklahoma State Fire Service Training Center and then as a Fire Safety Engineer with North Metro Fire Rescue in Broomfield, CO. Rogers later worked with South Kitsap Fire and Rescue (WA) for over 17 years and retired in February 2023 as Deputy Chief/Fire Marshal with Spokane Valley Fire Department.
Rogers has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering Technology with an emphasis on Fire Protection and Safety from Oklahoma State University. Additionally, he possesses a master’s degree in leadership and management from Western Governor’s University.
Greg is the current Chair of the International Association of Fire Chiefs Fire and Life Safety Section and a member of the UL Fire Council. He has served as a Commissioner for the Commission on Professional Credentialing (CPC) for the Center of Public Safety Excellence (CPSE) and President of the Washington State Association of Fire Marshals.
Chief Rogers received the ICC's 2023 Robert W Gain Fire Prevention Leadership Award in recognition of his exceptional leadership and support of fire codes and fire prevention.
