version 17
I've briefly tried E17 on a couple of occasions, but I've reverted to other distros ultimately. What drives me away are some usability issues that I can't get around, as outlined below. What makes me keep re-investigating it is that it's amazing pretty on low-end hardware. The distros that I've played with are Macpup Opera (which doesn't seem to have multi-user support), and PCLinuxOS.
Modules -- I used to need to install gkrellm, but not most recently.
CPU
Net or Wlan -- I haven't decided which I like better
Mem -- memory usage
Weather -- takes up space, but nicer than Forecasts
Nitpicks
Click to raise doesn't seem to be an option -- clicking on the top bar seems to be required
iBar application icon tray is difficult to configure -- on PCLinuxOS at least, I could only add applications in a pulldown menu
