Best memory? Definitely the summer camp! Playing board games late at night and having conversations we don’t usually get to have was so much fun. We could bond across years and genders, which was great.
Since the seminar doesn’t have one fixed research theme, we get to listen to many different kinds of presentations, which deepens our learning.
The professor’s support is on another level!
I joined after studying abroad, but the seminar atmosphere is so welcoming that I felt comfortable right away.
When it’s time to work, we work hard. But when it’s time to play, we really enjoy ourselves (lol).
It’s a seminar with a free atmosphere where you can explore the fields you’re interested in on your own initiative.
The whole seminar group is close-knit, and I’ve made great friends.
The presentations are interesting, the seniors are very kind, my classmates are easy to get along with, and the professor is approachable. Because of that, I was able to fit in quickly. Since there is also a good balance between work and fun, I think you can really enjoy seminar life here.
It’s a wonderful seminar where academics and social interaction are well balanced.
Everyone is really kind!
Members come from diverse nationalities and backgrounds, and we can freely research the topics we’re interested in.
The greatest appeal of this seminar is that it gives everyone space to make the most of their individuality. Even in a friendly, home-like atmosphere, we keep a good balance of on/off. By building on each other’s strengths and supporting each other’s weaknesses, we can all grow together.
In a good way, there are no cliques, and everyone gets along well.
The atmosphere is great—you can easily make friends with everyone.
There are plenty of opportunities to learn about different areas of economics.
All the members are truly good people ✨. Having students from many different nationalities is also a big attraction.
There are many unique and interesting people, and it’s a well-prepared environment for learning.
The seminar has a high level of freedom, so you can pursue what you like.
Members of Professor Yagihashi’s seminar are hardworking, inspiring, and also very kind! It’s great to be surrounded by such people.
Since the seminar is based on freedom, it’s easy to focus on activities and studies outside the seminar too. Economics can be approached from a wide range of perspectives here.
Freedom!
Instead of narrowing economics down to one topic from the abstract things we learned as first-year students, here we can study economics from many different angles. There are also many students with diverse experiences, such as international students, returnees, and those interested in overseas issues.
