On 22 January 2009, I gave a short talk to the Atlanta Perl Mongers on Perl's map and grep functions. The talk explains the relationship of map and grep to the foreach loop, covers practical aspects of their use, explains preferred practices in their use, and illustrates these points with examples of each function. The presentation slides for the talk are available for download in Acrobat (.pdf) format.
