As you will recall, Jillian doesn't keep a diary. But if she did, this might be the latest entry:

I have a cat!
Scrawny little grey thing, showed up on the ship just after we left Eondeog . Not sure how long she was aboard before V and I spotted her -- could've been weeks, if she was living on Bishop's slugs. We've named her "Ghost." She was skittish at first, but I won her love with tinned meat, and last night she slept on my bunk. She kept me awake half the night with her purring, but it was nice. I'm sure she'll stop biting my toes once she settles in. Tonight once I'm done on the bridge I think I'll try taking some photographs of her. We're never going to need all that film for the gun cam -- V won't miss a roll or two.
In other news, we have guns hidden all over the ship. No ammo, so there's no danger to Ghost. V's prison intel was good. We'll make a great profit when we sell these to Labrys City. Wonder if I could convince Malcolm to do a week's layover there? I know it's hard for him and Bishop being stuck on the ship, but as long as Malcolm's got a good stock of tea he's happy enough, and Bishop could use some quiet time. I think V might enjoy a short vacation in Labrys City. She's seemed a bit ... off ... since she got out of prison.
I think V's probably right about HOAX, though -- I mean, I'm sure they're interested in "acquiring" xenotech but it seemed like their number one priority was making sure we didn't keep any copies of the data. Which means the data hidden on the 'Bird is worth something for sure, but with HOAX keeping an eye on us it'll be too risky to even look for a buyer.
Hey, I wonder if anyone on the Dobbs Habitat would be interested in the data?
