Captain of the Steel Hummingbird, Jillian also serves as its navigator, making good use of the skills she picked up during her 5-year stint in the navy. Her true passion, however, is her art -- too bad she got kicked out of art school due to having, in the words of her faculty supervisor, the artistic sensibility of a plankton and the technical aptitude of a chimp.
5'10" and slender, Jillian keeps her black hair in a buzz cut and favours practical clothing: army boots, black cargo pants and a black 3/4 sleeve t-shirt form her usual outfit. A paint-splattered Navy surplus jacket with the insignia torn off serves her for an artist's smock.
Jillian's left upper arm sports a tattoo of a black rose. She keeps this hidden at all times, out of both fear and shame, because it marks her as an (ex)-member of the Black Rose Syndicate. In fact Jillian was born Nikoo Zandi, far away in the Zartosht system, the only child of Hassan "the Scimitar" Zandi. She was raised in the Black Rose, joined of her own free will upon reaching legal adulthood, and finally ran away only after she'd already done things too evil to ever forgive herself for.
