Hastily Prepared Clam Chowder
In a 3-qt saucepan, combine:
Two 6.5 ounce cans of Chopped Clams (in their own juices)
4 cups Frozen Southern Style Hash Browns (peeled & cubed potatoes), unseasoned.
2 or 3 tablespoons of Real Bacon Bits
1/4 cup dried onion flakes
Salt and Pepper to taste
Fill pan with water until it just barely covers the ingredients. Cover and cook on medium or med-high until potatoes are done, stirring whenever you remember to.
Remove from heat, pour milk in to desired consistency (about 1-2 cups).
Add instant mashed potatoes to thicken chowder.
