• Usefulness of such research when dealing with legal matters

• Information in personal papers in relation to family history

• Commonwealth War Graves (www.cwgc.org) research guides

• Website “A Street Near You” (https://astreetnearyou.org) provides a wealth of information about war casualties.

• Compliance with requirement to register births after Jul 1837. Co-operative minutes from 1871 shows that a bible entry was accepted for a boy commencing work, as his birth had never been registered.
