FAVORITE BASEBALL PLAYER & WHY “The Say Hey Kid”… Willie Mays

FAVORITE BASEBALL MEMORY Game 7 of the 2014 World Series. Mad Bum was unbelievable. Close 2nd (even though I wasn’t alive) GIANTS WIN THE PENNANT, GIANTS WIN THE PENNANT, GIANTS WIN THE PENNANT…

1ST MLB GAME YOU ATTENDED & WHEN 1st game I remember was a Sunday twin bill between the Dodgers & the Cards. Before the game players would sign autographs in the concourse. I got Sandy Vance’s. His line was shorter. We were in sitting in right field. I made a visit to the bathroom and “stood” next to the Cardinals bullpen catcher, Dave Ricketts. We left midway through the 2nd game and the next inning Orlando Cepeda hit a home run right where we were sitting.

HOW DID YOU GET INTO THE WWBA? Chip had just joined and convinced me to take the other open spot.

WHAT OTHER LEAGUES DO YOU PLAY IN None since the IRBL folded.

WHAT YOU LIKE /DISLIKE ABOUT DMB Great play feel to the game. Easy setup.

OTHER PRO SPORTS YOU ENJOY WATCHING Football, Hockey

YOUR FAVORITE MOVIE not fair. Best comedy Young Frankenstein, Best drama – Usual Suspects.

THE TYPE OF MUSIC DO YOU LIKE Anything that isn’t rap, hip-hop, disco, smooth jazz. Mostly rock-ish.

THE BEST BOOK(S) YOU EVER READ The Tomb; Breakfast of Champions

ANY PERSON LIVING OR DEAD YOU WOULD LIKE TO MEET & WHY?: T his is way too difficult to answer. So many people throughout history. Since this is a baseball themed survey, I’m going with “Cool” Papa Bell. I would love to just sit and listen to his stories of playing in the Negro Leagues.
