FAVORITE BASEBALL TEAM & WHY St. Louis Cardinals –started following baseball in 1967, and they won the World Series against the Red Sox.

FAVORITE BASEBALL PLAYER & WHY Bob Gibson -1968 Cardinals season was absolutely unbelievable. He was 22-9, had 268 K’s, an ERA of 1.12, had 13 SHO and completed 28 games. Read his book, From Ghetto to Glory at a young age and remember him also being a basketball star and he tried his best to beat the Harlem Globetrotters one night.

FAVORITE BASEBALL MEMORY – Several memories (baseball is absolutely the best sport for creating unforgettable moments, and just when you think you have seen everything, you realize you haven’t. Probably my favourite though is going on a baseball tour with Don MacAlister, and getting to see the ballparks in Chicago, Milwaukee, Kansas City and of course my favourite, Busch Stadium in St. Louis.

1ST MLB GAME YOU ATTENDED & WHEN – Can’t remember when, but definitely the Seattle Mariners at the Kingdome. Also remember taking my son to a game at Safeco Field that featured a kid named Felix Hernandez –he remembers that quite clearly.

HOW DID YOU GET INTO THE WWBA? Don MacAlister recommended it to me.

WHAT OTHER LEAGUES DO YOU PLAY IN Two hockey leagues – CANUSA, and the FHL. Some of the baseball guys-Don, Yves, Tony, Ray and Chris are in at least one of the hockey leagues.

WHAT YOU LIKE /DISLIKE ABOUT DMB Ease of operation. It has some limitations for sure but it is extremely easy to use and stats seem to be relatively accurate between WWBA and real life.

OTHER PRO SPORTS YOU ENJOY WATCHING Hockey for sure, I will watch a bit of football and basketball, but don’t follow it like I do baseball and hockey.

YOUR FAVORITE MOVIE Again so many to choose from. Most things from Tom Hanks and Denzel Washington. 1978 film, Midnight Express had a long-lasting effect on me though.

THE TYPE OF MUSIC DO YOU LIKE Country all the way !

THE BEST BOOK YOU EVER READ Again just so many to choose from….John Grisham is my favourite writer. I read primarily crime drama/mysteries and marvel at how James Patterson can write a book every month it seems. Some classics like To Kill a Mockingbird still one I remember well.

ANY PERSON LIVING OR DEAD YOU WOULD LIKE TO MEET & WHY?: Maybe Bob Gibson for reasons stated earlier, maybe Jackie Robinson –both would have great insight into racial issues as well as being baseball legends.
