Project Work is a compulsory Higher 1 (H1) A-level subject that has to be taken by Junior College students in their first year. Through Project Work, I learnt to work together on tasks that require various skills and to apply what we have learnt to complete a project in a group. It enabled me to acquire skills like collaboration, communication and independent learning, as well as prepared me for lifelong learning and the challenges ahead.
Below is my group's Written Report, which is a major component of Project Work and my reflection upon my learning experience from it. My group had chosen the Project Task 1: Access and this project focused on the Lack of Access to Resources which Facilitate On-road Cycling.
This Written Report consists of the various sections: introduction, causes, impacts, current measures and their gaps, proposed plan and conclusion.
Through Project Work, I acquired the ability to make links across different areas of my knowledge and to generate, develop and evaluate ideas and information so as to apply these skills to the project task. I also acquired the skills to communicate effectively and to present ideas clearly and coherently to a specific audience in both the written and oral forms. Furthermore, I also acquired collaborative skills through working in a team to achieve common goals. Lastly, I learnt the importance of reflecting on my learning experience and take appropriate action to improve it.
