Enzyme pg 05
Enzymes 101 A Laboratory Experiment (continued)
It gets worse. With the help of the metabolic enzymes, the food is able to enter the bloodstream, but there still has not been enough time to break the food down small enough to be absorbed as nutrients and minerals by the hungry cells. So they’re still starving even after you’ve eaten.
On top of that, do you know what happens to an undigested food particle in your bloodstream? It’s recognized by your immune system as a toxin! The white blood cells, that already have their hands full dealing with bacteria and viruses, and now pulling double-shifts to eliminate the little toxic invaders that you ingested.
Now, if we step back over to the blender and examine the goulash that we made 60 minutes ago, we won’t see much of any enzymatic break down.
So let’s summarize this little scenario. You ate some food in an effort to nourish your body and strengthen your immune system, but instead you accomplished the exact opposite!
I don’t want to make this sound worse than it is; you’re not going to die… today. In fact, since we’ve been eating cooked and processed food all our lives, we would be fine to just carry on the way we have been. Getting sick a few times every year is no big hassle. And growing old and dying is a just a part of life, right? We’ve come to terms with the fact that we have a 46% chance of getting cancer. Life is short! We can’t waste our precious time going to the trouble of trying to stay healthy…
Too bad we can’t survive on just bananas.
Ready for some good news? Pudding.
