Second only to the Science Pavilion in size, the NASA exhibit was a chance for fair-goers to learn about the space program firsthand. Astronaut John Glen dedicated the building in person, revealing the addition of his spacecraft Friendship 7 to the exhibit.

In 1995, during Coliseum/Key Arena remodeling, the larger half of the L-shaped building was relocated to the former site of the China Pavilion. The other half still remains in its original location and is used as a facilities building.
