With the cardboard template fitting nicely, it was time for the real thing, this time made from plasticard. The first of the beading is fixed in place.  Note that the vertical beading in the picture is actually offcentre for the platform.  This is to allow the platform stanchion to be truly vertical in the middle of the platform. This had me looking at many pictures of 869 to figure that out.
