LAND USE/ZONING

In its corporate boundaries the City of Rockwall has around 17,600 parcels of land. Each of these parcels carries three (3) designations: [1] a current land use designation, [2] a zoning designation and [3] a future land use designation. Parcels located within the City's Extraterritorial Jurisdiction (ETJ) only carry a current land use designation and a future land use designation because zoning does not extend beyond the City's corporate boundaries. The following is a breakdown of the City current land uses, zoning districts and a summary of certain types of facilities within the City's corporate boundaries.
