The following are active or recently approved annexation cases for the City of Rockwall. Included are the dates of the public meetings, legal descriptions of the property and any pertinent documents relating to the annexations (e.g. location maps, property owner notification maps, etc.). A2018-001: PLATINUM STORAGE ANNEXATION (EXPIRING 212 DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT)

The City of Rockwall City Council will hold two (2) public hearings on Monday, February 5, 2018 in the City Council Chambers at Rockwall City Hall (i.e. 385 S. Goliad Street, Rockwall, Texas) to consider the annexation below.

The first public hearing will be held at 6:00 PM on Monday, February 5, 2018 in the City Council Chambers.

The second public hearing will be held at 6:30 PM on Monday, February 5, 2018 in the City Council Chambers.

A2017-001 – Hold a public hearing to discuss and consider a request by Rick Jones of ADV Rockwall Platinum Property Owner, LLC for the approval of a voluntary annexation of a 4.264-acre tract of land identified as Lot 1, Block 1, Valk Rockwall Addition, Rockwall County, Texas, within the Extraterritorial Jurisdiction (ETJ) of the City of Rockwall, contiguous to the existing city limits, and more specifically described as follows:

BEGINNING at a point in the southwest corner of Lot 1, Block 1 of the Valk Rockwall Addition, (GPS Coordinates N7027433.81, E2592745.56) said point being the POINT OF BEGINNING;

THENCE N 21° 10’ 20” W along the east Right of Way of State Highway 205 (the existing City Limits line) a distance of 176.63 feet for a corner;

THENCE N 89° 05’ 59” E, a distance of 763.28 feet for a corner;

THENCE S 00° 57’ 31” E, a distance of 259.05 feet for a corner;

THENCE S 89° 05’ 58” W, a distance of 669.73 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING Containing 185,738 square feet or 4.264 acres more or less.

Said description is intended to adjoin existing city limits of the City of Rockwall and incorporate all of the 4.264-acre tract of land identified as Lot 1, Block 1, Valk Rockwall Addition, Rockwall County, Texas and addressed as 4028 N. Goliad Street [SH-205].

A2016-001: REED ANNEXATION

The City of Rockwall City Council will hold two (2) public hearings on Monday, March 21, 2016 in the City Council Chambers at Rockwall City Hall (i.e. 385 S. Goliad Street, Rockwall, Texas) to consider the annexation below.

The first public hearing will be held at 6:00 PM on Monday, March 21, 2016 in the City Council Chambers.

The second public hearing will be held at 6:30 PM on Monday, March 21, 2016 in the City Council Chambers.

A2016-001: Discuss and consider a request by Pat Atkins on behalf of the owners Gwendolyn A. and Randall D. Reed for the approval of annexation of an 11.275-acre tract of land identified as Tracts 1-5 of the P. B. Harrison Survey, Abstract No. 97, Rockwall County, Texas, within the Extraterritorial Jurisdiction (ETJ) of the City of Rockwall, contiguous to the existing city limits, and more specifically described as follows:

BEGINNING at the northwest corner of a certain tract said point being on the east right-of-way line of John King Boulevard (an existing 160-foot right-of-way);

THENCE, N 90d00'00" E, departing the east right-of-way line of said John King Boulevard, a distance of 1,128.25-feet, to a point for corner;

THENCE S 00d00'00" E, a distance of 435.33-feet, to a point for corner;

THENCE N 90d00'00" W, a distance of 1,128.25-feet, to a point for corner, said point being on the east right-of-way line of said John King Boulevard;

THENCE, N 00d00'00" E, along the east right-of-way line of said John King Boulevard, a distance of 435.33-feet, to the POINT OF BEGINNING containing 491,158.033 square feet, 11.275-acres, more or less.

Said description is intended to adjoin existing city limits of the City of Rockwall and incorporate all of Tracts 1-5 of the P. B. Harrison Survey, Abstract No. 97, Rockwall County, Texas.
