• Head over to www.ncrna.org and check out some of the cool ncRNA genes in the human genome. For the following examples to work you need to select the NCBI36/hg18 version of the human genome:
  • Long ncRNAs: HOTAIR, Xist
  • Inside-out genes: Gas5, SNHG1, TRG11
  • snoRNA and miRNA clusters: PWS, miR-17, miR-200
• Are they conserved?
• Are there QRNA, RNAz and Evofold predicting structures inside these genes?
