Public Service
I have been lucky to serve on many public and non-profit boards and organizations. I highly recommend public service, as I got back more than I gave from almost every organization. Because I served or belonged to many of these groups, I met many, many wonderful people who I admire and was lucky enough to work with on many projects. This was a eight session class the mayor of Birchwood and I attended in 2014. The Citizen's Academy taught all about decisions that deputies make everyday. We learned that even with all the training and skills, much of it is psychology and people.
