It's common knowledge among roadway engineers that the riskiest location for cyclists (as for all road users) on any street is at an intersection.
The latest City scheme tears up everything known and recorded about cyclist safety by creating a intersections at all private driveways and complicating the many intersections on Churchill Avenue.
It's only a matter of time before an inexperienced cyclist drawn by the false sense of security of thinking he or she is separated from motor vehicle traffic is seriously injured or killed.
