City seems to be rushing approval of this project. It released project details November 25 and want comments by December 10.
See: http://www.ottawa.ca/residents/public_consult/bikelane/
There's a form on the website but general comments can be submitted by e-mail.
If you wish, you need say no more than you oppose the project (for cycling reasons, driving reasons, cost, whatever).
You may wish to be more detailed eg, the benefits of training of cyclists and education of motorists, fixing of existing roads.
Safety is not a City priority. A lot of cycle skills training and motorist education could be bought for the $1.2 million price tag without the congestion that will result from the removal of two regular traffic lanes at rush hour. This project will inconvenience cyclists as well as motorists with no improvement in safety.
