Key points

Name and professional title

Include the expert's preferred name

Include gender-neutral titles – for example, Dr or Professor – but generally avoid gendered titles – for example, Mr, Mrs, Ms, Missunless the expert specifically requests it.

Affiliation

Include the names of any institutional affiliations, using the style approved by the institution:

Job description and qualifications

Include the abbreviation of the qualification approved by the conferring institution: 

Psychologist, speech pathologist; MPsych (Educational and Developmental), BAppSc (Speech Pathology)

For example:

Body

The bio narrative is written in the third person and is approximately 200 words in length. 

The first paragraph usually begins with the expert's first and last name. After that it's acceptable to use the first name only. Professional and other titles are usually excluded from the body copy.

The next 2-3 paragraphs include recent roles, publications and experience that are most relevant to raisingchildren.net.au.

If there is space, career background can be included in a final paragraph.
