The QWI Cairn
The QWI Cairn was installed at Dunham, the birthplace of the Quebec Women's Institutes.
On July 15, 1964, a special ceremony was held at Dunham when the plaque was unveiled by Mrs. McElroy, Charter Member of Dunham WI.
Mrs. Gordon Brown, daughter of Mrs. Beach, read the minutes of the first meeting and Mrs. Harvey gave a history of the WI.
Greetings were given from Mr. Glendon Brown, M.L.A., Mr. J. J. Bertrand, M.P.P.Q.C., Mme P. C. LeBeau, Department of Agriculture and representative from the Historic Sites and Monuments Board. Read more.
