Dear Neighbors,
Here is an update on the last year of the Homeowner’s Association operation and a look forward to the coming year:
Drought – The lack of rain since July ended up reducing our mowing, electric, and general maintenance bills for the year. Last year we were forecasting the need to raise dues for 2026 but this (and other) savings will allow us to keep dues the same for the third year in a row.
Stormwater Pumps – Nothing too unexpected. Before the drought, you may remember we had a lot of rain in the early spring triggering the need for some work on the Finch pond pump. Otherwise it was routine work this year.
Insurance – Our previous insurance provider (AmFam) is exiting the commercial insurance market. Thanks to a referral from neighboring Pheasant Farms HOA, we were able to secure new insurance at a small savings over what we were paying previously.
Pond Maintenance – Special thank you goes out to Ron and Linda Mathes for clearing out the brush growing around the drains in the Haskins South pond. And a big thank you to Laura & Sean Galliger for clearing out the brush in the BlueJay/Raven pond… along with uncovering a storm drain that has been covered up for years! These efforts really help with drainage and aesthetics (along with saving everyone money!)
Dues - For the 2026 calendar year, the dues will remain at $85 a year.
Thanks,
Quail Hollow Homeowners Association
