ALEX
Did an ethernet transfer speeds comparison over wifi, gigabit lan and ethernet over powerline.
He also showed us the Serial Plot program, which is open source and has lots of features for displaying & investigating data.
MARTIN
Showed us his 'remote presence robot'. It has a base unit with the drive motors and batteries. Then there's about a 1m pole sticking up which has a camera. The camera is the ESP32-CAM module.
STEVE
MYSTERY DESIGN QUESTION ??? I was doing a portable radio repair and noticed there is a 'half loop' in the wire from the battery positive to the PCB. What is the function of this folded shape in the wire? Is it for electrical or mechanical reasons?
We also mentioned two eMagazines - MagPi Magazine site has tutorials & projects. Also HackSpace magazine.
And two You Tube channels - Andreas Spiess & Electroboom
